Raakkili Than - A different one from Perumazhakkalam

Today I am presenting another beautiful song of the recent times. This is a brilliant composition by M Jayachandran from the film Perumazhakkalam directed by Kamal. The song has a typical Hindustani touch in it's composition. The moment I heard this song, I could feel the fresh air of beautiful music in Malayalam film music after a long time. This song is originally sung by M.Jayachandran himself. The emotion that is given in the rendition is just outstanding. More over he himself has perfomed for the song in the film. The picturization blends well with the mood and lyrics of the song presenting us with a brilliant package of musical excellence. M Jayachandran was awarded the Kerala State Film Award for best music director for the songs in this film for the year 2004.
It was my prolonged wish to sing this song. I have tried my best to do justice to the wonderful rendition that M Jayachandran did for this song. I know I am far away from the original version. It would be very nice to hear back from all of you. I request all of you to leave a comment after hearing the songs.

Hi,
Excellent singing and good voice.
You started a bit tentatively, but by the second charanam you reached the correct "bhaava"
Voice sounded a bit "down" on the whole , particularly when compared to the Kishore song you had posted
But the new play back singer that we all are going to see soon , is pretty obvious! Best Wishes.

I think Sujatha sung it far better than Jayachandran..Just hear both the songs side by side, you can say which one is the best
