Shandana Thendralai - A Romantic Masterpiece

Today I am going to present before you a song composed by our own A R Rehman. Ever since we heard his first song from 'Roja', we have been receiving more and more hits from this amazing musician . He has revolutionised the world of film music by bringing in a whole new style and lots of wonderful singers. Each of his songs has something to cheer about. Because of his habit of introducing new talents, we discovered the gems like Hariharan, Unnikrishnan, Bombay Jayashree, Shankar Mahadevan to name a few.
The song is 'Shandana Thendralai' from the film 'Kandu Konden Kandu Konden'. I like this song for it's uniqueness and beauty of composition and it was my dream to be able to sing this song. One thing which I noticed after recording is that the track of the song is a bit faster than the original one. I am not sure if the emotion contained in the song has been affected by the tempo. But it has been a wonderful experience recording this song. I have to admit that there are some mistakes in the lyrics in one or two places. I never imagined presenting this song to such a wonderful audience when I recorded this song since it was recorded around one month back when I wasn't aware of the possibilities of blogging. I tried my best to do justice to the wonderful rendition that Shankar Mahadevan did for this song.

Awesome Murali..Indeed a sweet voice u got man !!!
Now I noticed some words little malayalam touch as I used to sing :)- LOL... For example "Anbe" instead of "Anpe" ...Swandam instead of "swantham" etc. It is very trivial, but is important singing in other languages. Singing any Sahasranamas regularly with stress in "ntha" as in "Shaanthi" and "pa" as in "japa" will definitely help u to get the mallu touch off and sing any Indian language easily.
waiting for more from u soon

Oh! Wonderful Murali...
A few words here and there is misspelt (for instance aayu should be aayul actually) but guess that can always be worked on as you sing more and more in Tamizh.
Amazing range and control!!

thoroughly enjoyed the song. you are too modest in recognizing your talent and the so-called mistakes are too trivial and can be easily overcome. All the best to you in your future initiatives.

Murali...
Just wanted to echo what the other Murali said about you...you have a great godly gift. Keep it up. By the way, I noticed somethings, which is not a big deal...just some suggestions: When you sing the high-octave E-F-G notes (e.g. starting line), be more confident of your ability. By what I have heard of your wonderful voice, you dont need to strain to reach those notes, because you have a natural flexibility and range (from what I have heard). Don't be concious of it as being high-pitched...just go with your natural instinct!!!
I will keep listening to your posts. Once again I am spellbound by your singing...keep it up, keep practicing!!!

Murali, As usual, you are awesome.
I don't have much of musical knowledge. Just that I'm a god listener, this song of yours is too good.
