Colors of Romance - Pachai Nirame from Alaipayuthei

Today I am presenting another song composed by A R Rahman. This is again a romantic song composed altogeather in a differnt mood by A R Rehman.
The song is 'pachainirame' from the super hit film 'Alai Payuthei'. This film explores the tensions of married life and the maturing of love. This is a beautiful romantic song came out in the voice of none other than the genius Hariharanji. I am a big fan of Hariharanjis Ghazhals and virtually any music. This song is a superb one in his melodious voice. I have recorded and mixed this song atleast 3 times to bring in the softness in the rendition. I have tried my best do justice to the wonderful rendition by Hariharanji.
Based on the feedback I received, after raising the voice level and remixing, the song has been uploaded again .

Nice singing, but I think somehow the recording could have been a wee bit better-I think the background music kinda drowns your voice in some places...I think your voice could have been slightly louder...
Also, I think Hariharanji's 'casualness' in singing could have come out better... :) but you have your own style which is also good.

    Murali,

Good effort given the small nuances and intricacies involved... Agree with Sindhuja on your voice levels.

Also-- the original is laden with 2 sets of seconds coming throughout. This in my opinion make the listeners feel 'fuller' than listening to it in a single voice. Do try it the next time you get a chance.

Sindhuja > Let me try to remix it once again to increase the voice level little bit. if possible I will upload the song again. And when Reji mixed it, the voice level was a bit higher and I who made it come little bit down :)

Meera > Thanks for the feedback. Let me try on the seconds too. If I get a chance I will do it this week itself and repost it.

    Murali,

Karaoke track overides your voice, please amplify your vocal track n' do a remix, that will make it perfect.

Appreciating your effortz singing all kind of music..just like your Guru "Pradeepettan"..!

Sounds much better now :) I dunno anything of sound engineering, but as a lay listner, I feel somehow the voice parts stand out... feel they could've been 'blended' better with the karaoke track-if you get what I mean...ie could have been more homogeneous...
But the voice level issue has indeed been done away with.(if I'm right in thinking that the 2 issues are independent of each other that is) Good job.

I had an aversion to songs which has a lot of orchestration which submerges the voice of singer like this one. Only thing I liked about this song in the movie was the cinematography with lyrics meaning. But you see every music lister liked this song too much !!! I am eagerly waiting for the olden classics like Indravallari which really a gem !!

    Murali,

There are various places you have slipped in pronunication and singing. There is a hurriedness in many places especially in the start. and I think there are many places where the notes are not what were in the original. May be you should give another try.
