Uyire Uyire - Another Romantic song from Bombay.

Bombay is an award-winning Tamil feature film drama directed by Mani Ratnam, starring Arvind Swamy and Manisha Koirala, with music composed by A. R. Rahman. The film is centred on events, particularly during the period of December 1992 to January 1993 in India, and the controversy surrounding the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. Increased religious tensions in the city of Bombay (now Mumbai) led to riots. The story revolves around relationship between son of traditional Hindu parents and a Muslim schoolgirl in the midst of religious tension. The film caused huge controversy upon release in India and abroad, for its depiction of inter-religious relations.
The song which we present here today is 'Uyire Uyire' composed by A R Rehman on the wonderful lyrics of Vairamuthu. My good friend Sindhuja Bhakthavatsalam sung this along with me. Sindhuja is another great talent with good knowledge in classical music whom I met through this blogging world. We have tried to do justice to the wonderful rendition of Hariharan and K S Chitra. Please let us know how u all like it.

    Hi,
First of all I should say . I've enjoyed the song very much. Hats Off for that. :-)

Apart from ur last song, U have improved a lot in the mixing aspect ie. without giving much processing on your voice and letting us to hear ur natural voice ;-). I liked it very much.

Murali Bhayi, Its a very nice work from u. I feel u should concentrate more on Nasals especially whn singing Hariji's songs. coz he makes nasals with crystal clarity.I should say , I expected a little more , as you are very nice in singing such husky type romantic songs of Hariharan.

Sindhuja, Hats Off for your voice and the feel u've imparted in this song. But when u began to sing the Anupallavi, I felt a very small off beat and it continued till the end of Anupallavi. Its not that noticable, But I felt that u r a bit earlier than the BGM. And when u sang the high notes in Charanam , I felt that u r struggling. And I could feel the off beat there also, more clearly than that in Anupallavi. Please check that. I dont know whthr I'm right, but I felt like that. Dont feel bad.

As a whole , very very great work. I luvd it very much. Keep it up. Keep Rocking...

    ...Musically, Yours...
