Kaathalee - From Avai Shanmukhi

Kamal is the youngest of four children born to Rajalakshmi and Srinivasan Ayyengar. His Mother Tongue is Tamil. His father, an attorney by profession, gave all his sons (Charu Haasan Ayyengar, Chandra Haasan Ayyengar, Kamal Haasan ) the suffix of "Haasan" as a sign of his friendship to one Mr. Haasan. Kamal is also a playback singer and sometimes pens the lyrics for the soundtracks of some of his recent films. He is also a Bharatanatyam dancer and has choreographed some of the dance sequences in his films. He is multilingual. He is also a self professed atheist and follower of E. V. Ramasami Naicker. He has been hailed as India's most veteran and versatile actor.
The song which I present here today is 'Kaathalee' from the film Avai Shanmukhi composed by Deva on the lyrics of Vairamuthu. This is a superhit song originally sung by Hariharan Please let me know how you all like this one.

Great voice and breathing control. I noticed one thing though. In stanzas I felt the song was missing out the "vedhanai" emotion a bit. Keep it up and welcome back to blogging after a long time!!

Murali, You've got a very nice voice and you have sung this one very beautifully.
Just noticed one thing, I think music director for this one is "Deva" not "Rahman"

Great stuff, Murali! As Reshma has pointed out, its Deva and not Rahman! Also, its a duet by HH and Sujata. If there is also a solo version, I'm not aware of it...
