Another Devotional song - Khedamekum

After another break, am again posting another devotional song on Lord Ayyappa. But again this is recorded long back, about more than a year ago. I have been introduced to blogging by Mr.Pradip Somasundaram and since then have been actively blogging till my Jouney with Idea Star Singer started in May 2007. And with the busy schedules of the star singer , I was not able to pursue my blogging since then. Idea Star Singer 2007 remains 'A much more expected , but least reaped' event for me. After the unexpected exit from the contest, have been involved in stage shows in the peak of the season. Travelled to Indore, Bombay and Baroda for doing some exciting stage shows along with my Star Singer Colleagues. And the amount of love and affection people shower on us is something very precious and unique. And the most memorable show among these is the one where I had the oppurtunity to be with K.J Yesudas and K.S Chithra along with famous personalities like Nedumudi Venu and Kaviyoor Ponnamma. And I have no words to express my joy when I met the music legendry and my idol Dr. Balamuralikrishna during the finals of Idea Star Singer 2007 in Trivandrum. Thanks to Idea Star Singer for its wonderful exposure. Right now am settled in Bangalore and joined a new job. Amidst of the work schedules I am not able to do what I would really like to do. But am sure I will come back with a bang. Thanks to all the music lovers for making this blog a success which recently crossed 35000 hits.
The song am posting today is a devotional song on lord Ayyappa from the hit album 'Gangayar'. This is originally sung by Gana Gandharvan KJY .Please let me know how you all like this one. The picture which is shown above may not have any relation with the context of the song except that it was taken with my Sony Ericsson W580i.

Innumente Kannuneeril - Tribute to Raveendran Master

Raveendran master is one of the unique composers we ever had in Malayalam music industry. Raveendran master has composed many soulful melodies. He started his career as a playback singer in the 70's and evolved as one of the foremost music directors in the South, composing about 1,500 songs in 450 films, in addition to a number of light music and devotional albums. It was Yesudas who helped him later to become a music director as Raveendran himself had strongly wished to be known as a playback singer. It was then that I V Sasi, the director of "Choola"(1979) gave him a chance to give music to the film. A few among Raveendran’s best songs were in films like ‘Thenum Vayambum’, ‘Amaram’, ‘His Highness Abdullah’, ‘Ayal Katha zhuthuthukayanu’, ‘Nandanam’,'Bharatham', ‘Mizhi Randilum’. His last film was ‘Vadakkumnathan’ a musical odyssey.
The song which I present here today is 'Innumente Kannuneeril' from the film 'Yuvajanaolsavam' directed by Sreekumaran Thampi. This is a beautiful composition from Raveendran master on the lyrics of Sreekumaran Thampi. Please let me know how you all like this one.
I am very happy that I am back to blogging again after a short break. Thanks a lot for the encouragement and support.

Yesu Nayaka - A song on the occasion of Easter.

Here is another new composition on the happy occasion of Easter. Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a day of great rejoicing and merry-making. Easter ceremonies correspond to Passover, the Jewish festival. It symbolizes the ultimate victory of good over evil. Feasts are given, sweets exchanged and processions taken out on this occasion.
The song which we present here today is 'Yesu Nayaka' composed by another young talented composer Damodar Narayanan. Damodar is a final year Engineering student and he is very passionate about music. He does have a good knowledge in Classical Music. I met Damodar through internet and became good friends. This is a different composition by him on the lyrics of Christie. Subin has done a great job in orchestrating this song. Please let us know how you all like this.
